Episode 20- Christian Thompson of GLK and The Lotus Lounge

Episode 20 features Christian Thompson, who co-created The Lotus Lounge alongside Trey Brooks-aka DJ Fame-Oh!. He is also the creator of the Glamorous Living Kids- a clothing company based out of the High Desert.
He had a lot to say about the state of fashion, how his designs have matured over the years, as well as his thoughts about the past, present and future of GLK and The Lotus Lounge. Christian also brought along  the official Lotus Lounge Mixtape, which you can download here.

I personally think that this is a great episode for those who have seen the links to The Lotus Lounge, but are not yet familiar with the movement that has been happening right under their noses. I strongly recommend that you don't sleep on this episode people!

Episode 7- Christian Thompson, Luis "Machete" Rossy, and Joaly Nicole

For this week's episode of The Dev Danger Tapes, I talked with Christian Thompson, Luis "Machete" Rossy, and Joaly Nicole-Machete's girlfriend. I talked with Machete last week about his project with Nappoo, Babylon and I. Machete sent me a copy of his EP before the October 11 release. I've listened to it several times and I have to say that I am truly impressed with the finished project. As I explained to Machete before, I can tell that he puts his heart and soul into his craft and that his comfort behind the mic is evident.
While talking with Joaly, I noticed that there is a lot of support coming from Joaly and that she is Machete's number one fan. There is a lot of encouragement coming from Joaly and she keeps Machete confident about his talent and let's him know that he is capable of doing things that he sets his mind to.

Lastly, I talked with Christian Thompson about The Lotus Lounge showcase he is putting together for the High Desert and it was agreed by all of us, as well as those standing behind Christian- that the High Desert has long been in need of something like The Lotus Lounge. I realized and explained to Christian how I felt that I needed to stand behind him on this showcase, because for the ten years that I've known him I've always seen that he puts all of his efforts into his creation. Whether it be with Glamourous Living Kids or his photography, I've seen his talents at work and I've witnessed GLK become the brand name that is today.
